5 Co-op Games We Can’t Wait To Play In 2021!

We’re almost there boys and gals, the end of one hell of a year. 2020 was without a doubt an exceptional year, we got great games, mediocre games, and some big flops too!

Thanks to titles like Ghost of Tsushima, 2020 was also a big year for story-driven games; we all love and appreciate a good campaign! But what we also love is a great co-op game that we can share with our friends or, in my case, other players around the world.

We made a list of 5 Co-op games that we can’t wait to play in 2021!

  1. 1 The Outlast Trials

I remember playing Outlast for the first time, it was a rainy Friday at 3 AM, and man was I stoked. The atmosphere, the sounds, and the gameplay, it all got me hooked right away.

The Outlast Trials promises to deliver that too, but this time it'll let you share the experience with up to 3 other players. You'll be fighting to survive the sadistic and horrifying experiments of the Murkoff Corporation.

The game serves as a prequel to both Outlast and Outlast 2, but we don't have many details on how it'll play exactly, although you can still play it all by yourself if you choose to.

The game is set to be released sometime in 2021.

  2. 2 Hood: Outlaws & Legends

Announced back in August 2020, Hood: Outlaws & Legends will take us to a violent medieval world, in a series of multiplayer heists where we get to play as four different classes with each having a different set of skills.

From the details we have so far, Hood: Outlaws & Legends is shaping to be an experience-driven by PvPvE matches, where you can team up and fight against other players and A.I enemies in order to get the treasures!

The game is set to be released on 10 - May 2021.

  3. 3 Gotham Knights

Gotham Knights is perhaps our most anticipated co-op game to play in 2021, not only because it's made by the same developer who brought us Batman: Arkham games, but also because it might become what Marvel's Avengers failed to be.

We'll get to play as Batman's favorite sidekicks; Robin, Batgirl, Red Hood, and (my personal favorite) Nightwing. The story takes place after Batman's apparent death, so we expect some intense events!

Each character will have its own abilities (duh) and playstyle, so there will be plenty of stuff to upgrade and experiment with.

Gotham Knights is set to be released sometime in 2021.

  4. 4 It Takes Two

From the team behind A Way Out, comes another co-op game with a unique concept. If there is a true co-op game, then this one will be it.

Why you might ask? Well, because It Takes Two is built to be played by two people, you can invite your friend to join for free and work together to overcome a wide range of challenges and tasks.

What this game promises to deliver is a genre-bending platform adventure that will have you master unique and connected characters abilities in every new level, so expect a lot of fun!

This game will be available on 26 Mar 2021.

  5. 5 Tribes of Midgard

Set in the world of Norse mythology, Tribes of Midgard will have you, along with up to 10 players, fight against Giants and hordes of enemies during Ragnarok.

You get to build and defend your Viking village, craft legendary equipment to help you fight the invasion of Giants that seek to destroy everything.. This already sounds epic!

The game will be available on all the major platforms but we're not sure if it'll be crossplay since it can host up to 10 players, I know that would be awesome.

Tribes of Midgard is developed by Norsfell Games and will be available sometime in 2021.
